Extension Officer

Reporting to the relevant manager, the Extension Officer will assist and keep work areas clean at a farming enterprise in Ermelo, Mpumalanga.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with irrigation, crop care and pest control
• Follow instructions and work flexible hours during peak periods
• Support animal care or packhouse operations as required
• Carry out general farming, planting and harvesting duties
• Keep work areas clean, safe and well maintained
• Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and tools

Requirements

• The ability to perform physical, outdoor work
• A valid driver’s licence or tractor experience (advantageous)
• Previous farm or agricultural experience (advantageous)
• ABET or Grade 10 (Grade 12 advantageous for technical roles)
• Reliability and a willingness to work flexible hours
